چکیده

The study aimed to evaluate the responsible traits of preference Aphis fabae Vicia faba cultivars and their stability in multi-environment field tests. experiment was carried out at Institute Forage Crops (Pleven) during period 2016 2018. Aphid infestation assessed by recording number per plant pod formation, while chemical composition determined standard Weende system methods. Canonical correspondence analysis showed that aphid density negatively correlated with amount rainfall humidity until aphids were positively temperature. According GGE biplot cultivar Fb 3270, followed BGE 029055 002106 stable a low defined as tolerant. A significant negative correlation found between height (r = -0.447). protein content positive 0,686), phosphorus cyanogenic glycoside concentration significantly incidence -0.411, r -0.685, respectively). results lay groundwork for further analyses finely dissect A. tolerance V. pave way development methods predict ...

Biology and Demographic Growth Parameters of Cowpea Aphid (Aphis craccivora) on Faba Bean (Vicia faba) Cultivars

The performance of cowpea aphid, Aphis craccivora Koch. (Hemiptera: Aphididae), on five faba bean, Vicia faba L. (Fabales: Fabaceae) cultivars was evaluated. Colony development, biology, and demographic parameters were studied to measure the cowpea aphid performance. Two methods, whole plant and detached leaf, were used in these experiments. After 14 d , the number of apterous adult, nymphs, an...

identification of sources of resistance to the black bean aphid, aphis fabae scopoli, in faba bean, vicia faba l., accessions

in several parts of the world, important yield losses are caused to faba bean due to attack by the black bean aphid aphis fabae scopoli. although resistance could be a good alternative to chemical control, its genetic basis is still largely unknown; and its phenotypic expression is still poorly described, making crucial the permanent evaluation of genetic resources available in different countr...

Large-Scale Transcriptome Analysis in Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.) under Ascochyta fabae Infection

Faba bean is an important food crop worldwide. However, progress in faba bean genomics lags far behind that of model systems due to limited availability of genetic and genomic information. Using the Illumina platform the faba bean transcriptome from leaves of two lines (29H and Vf136) subjected to Ascochyta fabae infection have been characterized. De novo transcriptome assembly provided a total...

Genetic improvement of two cultivars of Vicia faba L. using gamma irradiation and ethyl methanesulphonate mutagenesis

The present experiment was conducted to induce genetic variation using gamma irradiation and ethyl methanesulphonate mutagenesis and isolate and analyze the desirable mutant lines of Vicia faba L. var. Vikrant and PRT-12 in the M3 generation. The seeds of the mutant lines isolated from 3rd generation plants were analyzed for different parameters including total protein content, protein profiles...

Comparative Analysis of Defense Responses in Chocolate Spot-Resistant and -Susceptible Faba Bean (Vicia faba) Cultivars Following Infection by the Necrotrophic Fungus Botrytis fabae

In this study, resistance responses were investigated during the interaction of Botrytis fabae with two faba bean cultivars expressing different levels of resistance against this pathogen, Nubaria (resistant) and Giza 40 (susceptible). Disease severity was assessed on leaves using a rating scale from 1 to 9. Accumulation levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid peroxidation and antioxidan...
